I've always found Twitter a little hard to explain, especially to business users.

Hopefully this video from Common Craft will help get over that first conceptual barrier!

I mainly use Twitter as an aide memoir around the things that I am doing and it quite often makes interesting reading going back and reviewing "tweets" which often stimulate action such as further research, writing, implementation etc. - I use it like a central to do / maybe to do / interesting list that I can post to from any computer, phone, iPod etc.
