| Thinking Digital is in the final planning stages for May 2009 and their blog and twitter feeds are both worth a look at for updates as the programme and speaker list develops. Thinking Digital is quite a different conference experience from the run of the mill “digital” & “web” conferences and has often been likened to a UK TED but with more time devoted to explore a topic or theme. Last year was the first year that I attended the Thinking Digital conference thanks to a guest ticket from @missrogue– see blog post for overview and links to presentations etc.: Thinking Digital – continuing the conversation. The current programme for May 2009 is shaping up again to be quite eclectic in its makeup although the list of confirmed speakers is at an early stage, personally I would love to see some of the speakers from Le Web Paris such as: - Brian Cox, The School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Manchester – an update on LHA at CERN following it’s “reboot” in the Spring
- Joi Ito, CEO, Creative Commons
- Marissa Mayer, Vice President, Search Products & User Experience, Google - to balance out the Microsoft sessions in previous year
