Vidder is a great video sharing platform that allows tagging of specific moments in the video timeline and also embedding discussions and comments around specific events in the clip.
Sharing a video via Viddler also offers a few benefits over and above those currently provided by You Tube, especially the ability to be able to share a video clip that starts from a certain point rather than the default start of the movie clip – great for sharing those 30 seconds of a 10 minute video.
You Tube are now trialling the embedding of advertising (and including a revenue share model with the video “owner” similar to revver) within the presentation of the video clips, once that is cracked and a revenue model established to cash in on the huge number of eyeballs they have innovation such as illustrated by Viddler can’t be far away from also being incorporated.
